How To Adjust And Install Your FKM Rubber Strap

FKM Rubber Watch Strap

Built to last and designed for comfort, the FKM rubber strap comes beautifully packaged with a sandblasted stainless steel butterfly clasp, spring bars, and an installation tool. Follow this step-by-step guide to easily adjust and install your FKM rubber strap, ensuring a precise, secure, and comfortable fit every time.

Tools Required for Installation

  • FKM Rubber Watch Strap (Cut to size)
  • Sharp scissors
  • Spring bars
  • Pin pusher
  • Butterfly clasp
  • Soft mat (Protect the watch face during installation)

How to Adjust and Install the FKM Strap

Step 1: Attach the Strap

Connect the strap to the watch case lugs using spring bars.

Step 2: Measure Strap Size

Wrap the strap around your wrist to locate the wrist center line. Leave at least one segment on both sides beyond this line for initial trimming.

Step 3: Trim the Strap

Trim the strap at the groove using sharp scissors. Once cut, the strap length cannot be restored, so trim gradually.

Step 4: Install the Clasp

Open the butterfly clasp and insert it into the outermost holes of the strap. Use the spring bar tool to attach the clasp securely.

Step 5: Re-Trim or Reinstall the Clasp

If needed, use a pin pusher to remove the clasp and re-trim for a better fit.

Friendly Reminders

1. Trim Gradually and Test the Fit

Trim the strap in small increments. After each cut, test the fit. Once shortened, the strap cannot be reversed.

2. Use Sharp Scissors for Clean Cuts

Sharp scissors ensure a precise, clean edge for easier installation and better appearance.

3. Ensure Components Are Secure

Before wearing, confirm all spring bars and clasp parts are tightly fastened. This guarantees safety and long-term comfort.

4. Push Clasp Sides Simultaneously

When locking the butterfly clasp, press both the upper and lower wings at the same time. If only one side is pressed, the other may spring back due to tension—this is a normal mechanism feature.
